Hope’s Community Involvement

Hope has always been an active member in the community from her involvement in the fitness community to raising money in support of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s mission to create a world without blood cancer.

As a former educator, helping and teaching will always be a passion for Hope which is why she has been a coach for numerous CrossFit gyms in the area since 2016. Immersing herself in the fitness community has allowed for the growth of many lifelong relationships within the community and the ability to encourage and empower others in meeting their personal goals outside of finances.

Hope’s love of animals has inspired her to volunteer regularly at the Charleston Animal Society. She volunteers at different fundraising events when a helping hand is needed and even enjoys opportunities to work with the socialization of animals who are hoping to be adopted. 

In 2022, shortly after Hope’s friend was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer, Hope accepted a nomination for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's 2023 Visionary of the Year Campaign. This was a 10-week philanthropic competition to raise awareness and funds in support of LLS’s vision–a world without blood cancer. Throughout those ten weeks, Hope hosted five different events and was even featured on the news. Collectively, all Visionary of the Year Candidates raised $1.4 million for LLS.
